Pastoral Team

Gillian Jackson

I am a multi-award winning qualified therapeutic counsellor, psychotherapist and accredited mentor with extensive experience (qualifying in 2007).

I run my own thriving private practice based in West Yorkshire and remotely across the UK supporting adults, young adults, couples and families with a range of mental health and relationship difficulties. I set up my private practice in 2020 and since then it has gone from strength to strength.

I specialise in anxiety and depression but I also work with a large range of other mental health issues such as low self esteem, phobias, stress, low mood etc. I regularly deliver workshops and training sessions in a variety of settings on topics around managing our mental health and wellbeing; such as stress and anxiety, depression awareness, exam preparation, interview skills etc.

My clients come to me because of my open, calm, non judgemental and inviting approach alongside my wealth of experience.

Feeling confused? Out of place? Not good enough? Therapy can offer you a space to explore these parts and connect more with your true self. I am an LGBT counsellor with experience in supporting people going through a range of confusion and distress including: anxiety and stress, family and relationship difficulties, sexuality and gender identity, low mood, loss, feeling stuck, and self esteem.

I am a registered person-centred therapist. We can work with whatever you bring to therapy and trust what you would like to explore. I believe in the power of being listened to; with compassion and free from judgement. This can help you reconnect with your value and worth, and help you to move forward.

A warm welcome to you! I’m Natalie, I’m a counsellor and psychotherapist with a wealth of experience in providing support to clients with a range of difficulties and concerns from relationship difficulties to anxiety, low self-esteem and work related issues.

Whatever your struggle may be, the good news is you’ve taken the first step in making a positive change, and that is why you are currently reading these very words – you are considering counselling and although that may seem scary right now it also may be the best decision you ever made. I encourage you to take that second step and allow me (or a counsellor of your choosing) to assist you with exploring your struggles and concerns, and together we can navigate through your thoughts and feelings in a warm, safe and non-judgemental environment with the aim of personal growth, nourishment and ultimately being able to live a fuller life.

My way of working draws upon the Person-Centred approach to counselling. Person-Centred counselling believes that each and every person can, and will, become a more fully functioning person if given the correct conditions. The underpinning principles of the Person-Centred Approach are focused on the counsellor being honest, non-judgmental and fully accepting, allowing the client to lead and set the pace. I aim to offer these conditions as best as I can during our therapeutic relationship.

I am also able to draw on a variety of other theories and techniques to offer personalised support to each individual client’s particular needs . I work via video call or phone. I am fully insured and work by the ethical guidelines set out by the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) of which I am a registered member. I also am an Online and Telephone Certified Counsellor training completed on 20th October 2020.

Seeking therapy can feel like the most scary thing in the world, but you have made that first step so should feel proud of yourself. My name is Sharon, I am a pluralistic counsellor and hypnotherapist, the term pluralistic just means that I have lots of tools in my tool box to help people move forward in their lives.

FOR STUDENTS, we apply the same importance to mental health as we do to learning. Being in the right frame of mind to be able to study in the first instance is key to being able to make the most of tutoring opportunities available and fulfil your potential.

We know that the pressures of study and aspiration can be scary. We are here to support you as part of that journey.

FOR TUTORS, we understand the love of inspiring others is what brought you into teaching. We also understand that you face intense scrutiny and incredibly high demands to achieve ever rising standards and attain excellent results.

We are here to support you too. To help you in reducing stress and increasing resilience through coaching or counselling.
